Memory and context
Myrlo remembers what it can inside your Life and active Stories — enough to keep play continuous — but it is not perfect long-term memory. Here’s what sticks, why forgetting happens, and what Premium changes. Emergent Arcs can also carry continuity as play unfolds.
What memory is for
While you play, the model works from the context of your Life and the Story you’re in: World lore in play, Characters you’ve met, recent turns, and structured continuity the product keeps for that continuity. Prefer saying Life / Story (and Arc where emergent narrative fits) in Help — not disposable one-off bottles.
What tends to stick
Recent turns in the Story you’re playing
Facts and arcs the continuity system has indexed for that Life / playthrough
World and library lore retrieved for the World (background knowledge)
Why it forgets
Long Lives and busy Stories can’t keep every detail in active context. Older beats may drop out of the window, wait for indexing, or lose a detail when you rewind, reroll, or branch. Soft continuity across Stories can also rewrite how something is recalled.
Premium and longer memory
Premium is optional. Among other depth features, Premium expands Director recall used for continuity — more room for longer coherent play, not infinite memory.
Free players get a smaller recall pack; Premium gets a larger one.
