What Does the AI Director Do?

Myrlo uses an agentic architecture, with an AI Director coordinating every turn. The Director handles dozens of tasks behind the scenes, including memory, planning, story progression, and tracking the state of the world.

It maintains a distinction between what’s actually happening in the world and what each Character knows. Acting as both planner and guide, the Director provides the Narrator with the context and direction it needs to tell a coherent story, without revealing information the Characters shouldn’t have.
