About Myrlo’s AI models

You can pick a narration model that fits the moment you’re in. There are currently four player-facing models: Compass, Atlas, Vector, and Horizon.

The Models

How to choose

• Familiar balance → Compass

• Speed over nuance → Vector

• Longer coherent stretch without Fragment spend → Atlas (Premium)

• Deeper reasoning and larger context when it matters → Horizon (Premium, 1 Fragment per charged turn)

You don’t need one model for everything. Switch when the Story asks for something different.

Premium and Fragments

Premium is optional. Atlas and Horizon need Premium. Horizon also spends 1 Fragment on charged turns (send / continue / reroll paths).

Fragments are extras, not fuel for your Life or Stories. Basic roleplay on Compass/Vector doesn’t spend Fragments per turn.

Where to change models

Pick a default in Settings, and change the model while you play from the in-play controls in the top left.

Expectations (Quirks)

Models can still miss a detail, lean on cliché (especially Vector), or need a nudge. Longer Lives push against context limits — see Memory and context. Our providers may also occasionally route free users through weaker models during high traffic to ensure faster response times.
